Modules 1-4 are focused on the Digital Storytelling process as a way to express diversity and to promote inclusion in activities. You will acquire skills in digital storytelling, see examples of stories other students have shared and create your own story on the themes of INCLUSION, WELLBEING AND DIVERSITY. Module 4 looks at the impact of Digital Storytelling, its purpose and importance.
The activities in the module are designed to:
Make drawings on a particular topic – such as family, faith, culture – on equal-sized pieces of paper. These will then be joined together as a ‘paper quilt’ and displayed for everyone to view and answer the question of how each drawing makes you feel.
This is a great way to learn more about each other. You can recognize yourself in other stories and increase your empathy.
This aids acceptance and inclusion of people as they are.
– What was shown?
– What was the effect?
– Why did they share this?
– How did the story make you feel?
– What have you gained in viewing the story?
– Has the story changed your perception of diversity or inclusion?
